La Tierra Paso Finos - Our Trainers

Ramon Figueroa

Ramon, an accomplished trainer and certified PFHA judge, joined La Tierra in March 2002. The son of Cese and Patricia Figueroa, Ramon has been riding Paso Finos since he could walk. The Figueroa family has been respected in the US and Puerto Rico for two generations for its dedication to, and success with, the Paso Fino horse. Ramon is continuing his family's achievements as one of the third generation of Figueroa's.

Ramon’s national titles date back to his teens. He won national titles on renowned horses like Ambarina del Azul, Reserve National Champion Fino Mare; Pegaso Que Si-National Champion Performance Three-Year-Old Colt; Tornado del Conde and Rico Suave, both Reserve National Champion Fino Colts. Ramon is also noted for his work with his clients and their successes, nationally, in the amateur owner division.

Prior to moving to Williston to work with La Tierra, Ramon managed and ran his own training facility in Kentucky and was the region’s delegate to the PFHA Board of Directors.
